Over the last few months, many small business owners and entrepreneurs have been hit hard financially. It makes sense that business owners are looking for creative ways to save money and/or increase their revenue. Who doesn’t want to maximize their budget?. As a small business owner myself, I look for every way to save money (and time) so I can spend it wisely to grow my business. One of my colleagues recently mentioned I should create an Amazon Business Account.
After doing some research, I found Amazon Business to be a great value. By signing up for an Amazon Business account, small business owners can take advantage of savings that can add up.
You may ask, is an Amazon Business account free?
Yes! It’s free to create one if you are a credentialed business.
Amazon Business Benefits include:
- Getting the right supplies you need
- Increasing cash flow
- Efficient ways to buy
Depending on the size of your business and procurement needs, you may be eligible for product price and quantity discounts. Regardless, Amazon Business will allow you to create and approve shopping lists, track your preferred suppliers, and establish recurring deliveries to free up your time.
Amazon Business Vs Amazon Business Prime
You may prefer to explore Amazon Business Prime. This allows you to get free two-day shipping on eligible items. There is a cost associated with setting up a Prime account. You may ask yourself, is it worth it to create an Amazon Business Account? My answer is yes, if you are a small business and can afford it, I would recommend it. Amazon Business Prime bases the annual membership account fee as follows:
- Essentials: $179/yr for up to 3 users
- Small: $499/yr for up to 10 users
- Medium: $1,299/yr for up to 100 users
- Enterprise: $10,099/yr for over 100 users
Amazon Business now serves commercial and public organizations in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and India.”
Another common question is, do I need to have an existing Amazon Prime account to get an Amazon Business Prime account? No, it isn’t necessary, but you may decide that both are right for you.
So, give it some thought.
Why would you want to go with an Amazon Business Account versus Personal?
Would an Amazon Business Account suit my business better than an Amazon Business Prime account?
Do your own research and consider the merits of both. Whether you decide to become an Amazon Business member or set up an Amazon Business Prime account, you can’t go wrong.
